Built on Family Foundations
Property has always been part of our story.
Our family began investing in property across Wolverhampton and the wider West Midlands more than thirty years ago. What started as a small portfolio built through hard work, patience and long-term thinking, gradually grew into a stable, respected family operation.
Over the years, our focus has never wavered to provide good-quality homes, build honest relationships with tenants and partners, and giving back to the communities we are a part of.
Today, the next generation is continuing that journey through Centryn. The business has evolved into a modern property group with ambitions across investment, regeneration, education and partnerships. But the values remain the same as when it all began; integrity, long-term thinking, and genuine commitment to the communities we serve.
Wolverhampton is not just where we operate. It is where our story started and it continues to shape everything we build.

Our Journey
Early 1990s
Our family begins building a property portfolio in Wolverhampton through long-term ownership and responsible management.
2000s – 2020s
Our portfolio grows across the West Midlands; houses, flats and HMOs, providing homes for local residents and students. Our management company grew to look after more than 65 properties
2024
Jay & K Properties evolves into Centryn, marking the next chapter in our families story.
Today
Centryn is building a modern community ecosystem, property investment, short-term stays, education, partnerships, and regeneration rooted in Wolverhampton.
Why we created Centryn Academy
The property sector, like many industries, can feel closed off to those without insider knowledge. Many people are genuinely curious about how it works, but struggle to find learning that explains it clearly, honestly and in plain English.
We created Centryn Academy to change that.
Our courses are designed to be genuinely accessible to people exploring a career change, to young people who are not currently in education or employment, and to learners with additional needs who deserve the same quality of structured education as everyone else.
We are especially proud to support:
Learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) our courses are designed to be clear, well-paced and accessible, with dedicated support available to help every learner thrive.
Young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) we offer a welcoming, structured environment for anyone looking to take their first step back into learning or work.
Young and up-and-coming entrepreneurs, whether you have a business idea already or are still figuring out your direction, we help you build the knowledge and confidence to take your next step.
